\SIZ-uh-jee\ – noun: Astronomy. An alignment of three celestial objects, e.g. the Sun, the Earth, the Moon, or a planet. (French spelling).
Syzygie first burst through the Earth’s atmosphere in 2018, landing in Cambridge, UK, where they forged their unique intergalactic mix of jazz, hip-hop, and new UK garage. Based in London since 2021, they have continued to hone their craft, releasing their debut EP in 2024 showcasing the quintessential sound of Syzygie. The band continue to tread new ground, delivering new and mysterious grooves which excite and unite the dance floor, in equal measure. We are excited to announce Syzygie’s first ever show in Glasgow – what is sure to be a high-energy, captivating cosmic spectacle.
To open the show, Nemo Ganguli and Matt Gough will be performing a duo set, taking us through a tasteful collection of fully improvised jazz tunes. Fremd and Caol close the evening with a back2back DJ set, delivering a wide-ranging fusion of jazz-inspired house and electronic beats.
