Kit Bula: Notes from his recent album “All This Kid Wants is Drum”
Sometimes life can be quite difficult because I have to do things that I don’t really want to do and lots of people do things that I don’t agree with them doing. In those moments it’s tempting to avoid finding productive ways to deal with the difficulties and instead bury myself in noise. Noise is good and I’m sure a certain quantity of noise is part of the solution to life difficulties, but there’s other stuff that needs doing as well.
This album is a sonic documentation of a period of time where all I wanted was to drum and I did that with a whole load of people (who are great and make life less difficult). But now it’s time to put that to one side and see drumming as one aspect of an existence that will help put an end to all this bullshit.
End fascism, end complacency; start caring, start giving.
Love from Kit x
