Speculum Bunny’s practise spans and incorporates performance, sound, video, and embodied ritual. She draws inspiration from her background as a bodyworker, somatic sound artist, and magickal practitioner. She loves working with repetition, endurance, and sensory layering to explore emotional thresholds, female archetypes and transformation. Her performances often engage with the audience, and with the uncomfortable, using absurdity, collapse, and invocation. She likes to blur the line between softness, control, and immersive catharsis. Improvisation is a main stay of her work
However, despite these strengths, their style and approach do not align with the direction we’re pursuing at this time, so we won’t be moving forward.

SHADES is a performance artist exploring the shifting territory between womanhood, disability, identity and the changing body. Living with cerebral palsy, epilepsy and complex health challenges, she uses movement, music and masks to explore what happens when perimenopause enters a body already navigating its own unpredictable rhythms. Her work challenges the easy dismissal of women as simply “hormonal”, revealing the physical reality, vulnerability, strength and beauty that can exist beneath the surface.
For Hormonally Yours, Shades moves from calm into storm, sensory overload and transformation, questioning what we think we see when we look at another woman’s body. Shades of grey, shades of colour, shades of darkness, shades of white. Women united. Hormonally yours?
