We’re looking for an experienced Assistant General Manager to join The Old Hairdresser’s – Bar Gallery Venue.

This is a full-time, hands-on role combining bar and front-of-house service with administration and planning. Evening, night and weekend working is an essential part of the position.

Working closely with our General Manager, Events Programmer and front-of-house team, you’ll help oversee day-to-day operations, support and develop staff, and ensure we provide a welcoming, enjoyable experience for everyone who uses our space.

We’re looking for someone with:

• Extensive hospitality experience and a proven track record in management, ideally within a bar, arts or live-event venue.

• Strong practical bar skills and the confidence to lead and support a team.

• Excellent organisational and communication skills, with a calm, proactive approach to problem-solving.

• Confidence using computer-based systems and balancing service duties with administrative responsibilities.

• A commitment to treating people fairly and respectfully, and to upholding the venue’s vegan ethos. You do not need to be vegan to apply.
