Music for Broken Violins

Serbian born, New York City based violinist Marija Kovačević works in classical, experimental and improvised music and theater.

Her project “Music for Broken Violins” is an exploitation of sonic textures with broken violins, bows and their fragments. At some point in the set Marija will be joined by the one and only Theo Gowans mutating into the duo Playable Litter.

Territorial Gobbing is solo venture of Leeds based Theo Gowans. Absurdist performance descends into stubborn minimalism or brain-defect maximalism across the acoustic-electronic rut.

Cod O’Donnell & Plastic Cowboy Builder

Cod O’Donnell & Plastic Cowboy Builder are joining forces for a special performance of duets, à la Lee & Nancy, or maybe even Frank and Nancy. They will be joined by the PX4M Plastic Unlimited Orchestra for a musical rollercoaster that joins the dots between Xenakis and The Ink Spots, and the broken Casio keyboard you found behind the pub bins and brought home for your weans 11th Christmas and they still weren’t happy.

L is a band that needs no introduction & they need no other letters in their name but they’re sooo good you gonna piss yourself! Its a singer with lotsa jokes dripping from his harddrive, a guitarist shredding your soul in half and the most killer rock drummer to hammer your avant garde fantasies into the ever lovin’ dust. As Michael K says “Ultimately, nothing sounds like L. It’s simultaneously so dumb and beyond comprehension at the same time that it’s kind of PURE music. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll maybe get turned on and disgusted at the same time.”
