On April 4th, The Old Hairdresser’s welcomes a co-headlining evening exploring folk’s past and future through intimate, exploratory performances.
Malcolm Le Maistre, best known for his work with the legendary Incredible String Band & The BarrowBand, brings a lifetime of poetic songwriting and deep-rooted folk tradition. His influence continues to echo through generations of boundary-pushing folk and psych-folk artists.
Joining him are The Woolverstones, a harmony-led duo crafting richly textured art-folk infused with atmosphere and gentle psychedelia. Their debut album Grey Eyed Dandy, produced by John Wood (renowned for his work with Pink Floyd and Fairport Convention), received international radio play. The duo have toured across Europe, and were recently featured on Fruits de Mer Records’ In The Year 2025 compilation
